NEGAUNEE, APRIL 4, 2013 – Today, Fox Negaunee announced plans to construct a new Collision Center in Negaunee, Michigan.

The new approximately 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art collision repair and automobile body shop facility is estimated to cost $1.5 million and will replace Fox Negaunee’s current collision center at Fox’s 701 US 41 Highway East location.  Construction is projected to start in mid-April, with completion to occur in October, 2013.  The new Fox Collision Center will employ 10 people and service 18 vehicles at one time.  The facility will include two new paint booths, two detail bays, a frame rack, a manufacturer approved welder, and a reconditioning department with four stalls.

Fox has selected Geoff Bowman Architects, P.C. of Marquette, Michigan, as the project architect.  Hall Contracting, Inc. of Munising, Michigan, has been tapped as the project general contractor.  Fox expects the construction project to employ approximately 80 to 90 skilled workers from the local market.

The new Fox Collision Center is the third major construction project that Fox Negaunee has undertaken in the past three years in an ongoing effort to continually improve its facilities and the overall customer experience.  In 2011, Fox opened its new state-of-the-art GM Dealership, carrying the Chevrolet, GMC and Buick lines, followed in 2012 with the newly-renovated Chrysler Dealership, offering the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, RAM line-up.

“We want to ensure that we provide only the best to Marquette County.  Our commitment to community is not limited to the many sponsorships and donations that we make, but is also evidenced by our significant financial investments into our facilities including our plans for the new collision center.  It is extremely important to us to be remarkable in every aspect of our business, including having state-of-the-art facilities that will serve our customer’s automotive needs well into the future,” said Bob Hanson, General Manager of Fox Negaunee.
