GRAND RAPIDS, January 10, 2013 – Fox Motors of Grand Rapids, Michigan today announced plans to open a dealership in a historic location on Chicago’s Southside.  Fox Ford Lincoln of Chicago will be located at 2401 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago.  This is the first Fox Motors dealership outside of Michigan.

The dealership will be in a historic location which is part of the original “Motor Row” – an area of car dealers in the early 1900s that has recently been rejuvenated as an area of entertainment and dining near Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center.

Fox Motors plans to open this 32,000 square foot dealership for business on February 1, 2013.  The dealership will employ 25 people.  Fox Motors is currently planning to relocate to a new facility in the Northern Chicago / Lincoln Park area in 2015.  The new facility would be approximately 85,000 square feet and is expected to employ over 100 people.

“It feels natural to grow Fox Motors in a city that our family has a connection to.  Our daughters have both resided in Chicago and my wife, Pamella is actively engaged with various charities in the community through her fashion brand, pamella roland,” said Daniel DeVos, President / CEO of Fox Motors.  “We see tremendous opportunity for Fox Motors in both Michigan and Illinois and look forward to bringing the remarkable experiences that our customers expect in Michigan to Chicago.”

“We are delighted to have Fox Motors establish a dealership within the city of Chicago,” said Eric Cin, Ford’s Chicago Regional Sales Manager.  “I have been impressed by Dan and his team at Fox Motors for quite some time. Grand Rapids and the other communities in Michigan Fox serves have been blessed to do business with them; we look forward to having that same passion for delivering a top notch vehicle ownership experience to the Ford and Lincoln customers in Chicago.”

Fox Ford Lincoln of Chicago operations will be handled by Division Director, Pete Ricards and General Manager, Vince Cardone.
