GRAND RAPIDS, MI, March 17, 2016 – Fox Powersports announces the Grand Opening of its Powersports superstore boasting 14 brands under one roof located on a 7-acre campus at 720 44th Street SW, located at the intersection of 44th Street and Clyde Park just west of the US-131 interchange.
The new 56,300 square foot state-of-the-art facility is the premier Powersports dealership in Michigan showcasing an impressive line-up of motorcycles, scooters, snowmobiles, water-craft, ATV’s and UTV’s from the industry’s most highly regarded manufacturers -- Aprilia, Arctic Cat, Can-Am, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, Suzuki, Triumph, Vespa and Yamaha.

The superstore will feature amenities for Powersports units, apparel and accessories sales, service and storage. As a nod to history, the facility will pay tribute to the Fox Shawmut Hills legacy by opening “The Shawmut Hills Racer Café,” which proudly serves Starbucks coffee. Additional features of the dealership will include an onsite dyno (a device for measuring force, torque, and power) and outdoor patio areas for events.
Fox Powersports of Kentwood (3562 29th Street SE, Kentwood, MI) and Fox Shawmut Hills (2807 Lake Michigan Drive, Grand Rapids, MI) have been relocated to the new superstore. The 29th Street facility will be utilized by Fox Motors, the Lake Michigan Drive property is currently for sale. There is also one out lot on the new superstore campus with prime Clyde Park frontage that is currently for sale.
Although leaving the existing facilities in both the City of Kentwood and City of Grand Rapids was difficult, Fox Powersports is pleased to open a business in the City of Wyoming. “Working with the City of Wyoming has been a great experience for our project team. Without hesitation the City welcomed our project from the beginning and supported us every step of the way through the process,” said Diane Maher, Fox Powersports President & COO. “The 44th Street and Clyde Park intersection is a prime corner in Wyoming and we are thrilled to be a key part of bringing life and vitality back to the area.”
The construction project began in July 2015 and was completed March 2016. Project team members include Triangle Associates LLC, General Contractor, and Concept Design LLC, Project Architect.
