Grand Rapids, December 13, 2021 - Today, Fox Motors, a Grand Rapids-based Automotive & Powersports dealer group, announced its entrance into the Metro Detroit market with the acquisition of Erhard BMW of Farmington Hills and Jaguar Land Rover Farmington Hills. Erhard BMW of Farmington Hills, located at 38700 Grand River Ave., Farmington Hills, MI 48335, will now operate as BMW of Farmington Hills. Jaguar Land Rover Farmington Hills, located at 38200 Grand River Ave., Farmington Hills, MI 48335, will continue to operate under the same name. These dealerships mark the first locations for Fox Motors in the Metro Detroit market.
These acquisitions bring the Fox Motors portfolio to 47 automotive and powersports brands in 34 locations in Michigan and Illinois. Jaguar Land Rover Farmington Hills is the first Jaguar Land Rover dealership for the group. BMW of Farmington Hills is the second BMW dealership for Fox Motors, joining BMW of Traverse City. Fox Motors hired 100 former World of Erhard employees, which brings the total number of Fox Motors employees to 1,600.

The World of Erhard was established in 1964 by Erhard and Gretchen Dahm, when they opened the country’s first exclusive BMW dealership. Over many years, the family became rooted in the community and built long-term relationships. The legacy continued through their children and grew to include the Land Rover and Jaguar franchises and two collision centers.

BMW of Farmington Hills and Jaguar Land Rover Farmington Hills operations will be overseen by Division Director, Jason Olesnavage and General Manager, Alan Graham.
Fox Motors plans to relocate Jaguar Land Rover Farmington Hills to a new facility being constructed in Novi, MI in the summer of 2022. Located at the corner of Grand River Ave. and Meadowbrook Rd., this new state-of-the-art facility will boast 58,663 square feet, doubling the size of the current location to better serve the market’s Jaguar and Land Rover customers. The new facility will also feature 30 service bays, 24 showroom displays, and two outside pedestrian plazas to enhance and expand the overall customer experience.
