Grand Rapids, MI, September 21, 2026 – Fox Motors announced today that it has completed the acquisition of LaFontaine Mazda Kalamazoo and Mercedes-Benz of Kalamazoo, further expanding the organization’s presence in Southwest Michigan. Both dealerships are currently located at 543 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. LaFontaine Mazda Kalamazoo will operate as Fox Mazda Kalamazoo, while Mercedes-Benz of Kalamazoo will retain its name.
The acquisition adds Mazda and Mercedes-Benz operations in Kalamazoo to the Fox Motors portfolio and continues the organization’s strategic growth following its acquisition of Fox Maple Hill in August. The additions give Fox Motors a second Mazda dealership and a second Mercedes-Benz dealership while building on Audi, Hyundai, Genesis, Subaru, Volkswagen and Volvo brands represented through Fox Maple Hill.

For more than a century, the downtown Kalamazoo dealerships have served customers with a legacy that began as Orrin B. Hayes, Inc. and continued under LaFontaine Mazda Kalamazoo and Mercedes-Benz of Kalamazoo. The addition brings Fox Motors to 55 locations, 64 brands and 2,025 employees across Michigan.
Operational oversight will be led by Jason Olesnavage, Fox Motors SVP and Chief Operating Officer, alongside Jerry Moore, Vice President of Operations for Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, strengthening collaboration across West Michigan and supporting the integration of the Mazda and Mercedes-Benz dealerships into Fox Motors.
